Verses 19-20 use the standard formula to summarize the reign of Ahaz, but the shift from the description of the reforms in Temple furnishings seems a bit abrupt.

While the question format of the Hebrew is followed in the Revised Standard Version rendering of this formula, it will be better translated as an affirmation in many languages (see 1 Kgs 11.41). And translators will want to ensure that there is no confusion with the biblical books of 1-2 Chronicles in their rendering (see 1 Kgs 14.29).
