We recommend following the Latin text, without the clause neither shall any one lay a burden on another (so Good News Bible).
For then every one shall bear his own righteousness or unrighteousness: This is a statement of individual responsibility for sin and individual credit for good deeds (compare Deut 24.16; Jer 31.29-30; Ezek 18.20).
We suggest following Good News Bible as a model for this verse. Contemporary English Version also has the following good model:
• it will certainly be true at the final judgment. No one will be able to pray for another—all people will receive the reward or punishment they deserve.
