And after seven days the thoughts of my heart were very grievous to me again: See 2 Esd 3.3. This verse probably means Ezra was still very troubled since there is no indication that he had ever been relieved of his worries. A possible model here is:
• At the end of those seven days, I was just as troubled as ever [or, I was still troubled].
