Rise and stand: Rise and stand are two different actions (getting up, and then standing), but for practical purposes these two verbs may be combined as “Stand up” (Good News Bible, Contemporary English Version).

And see at the feast of the Lord the number of those who have been sealed: Here Ezra does not call on the nations to count how many people are at the Lord’s banquet, but to be impressed at how many people are there. The feast of the Lord refers to the Lord’s banquet after he returns. It is a feature of ancient Messianic hope (see Matt 22.2; Rev 19.9). This phrase may be rendered “the Lord’s banquet table” or “the table where we will have a banquet with the Lord.” Those who have been sealed refers to those who have been marked as belonging to the Lord (see Rev 7.3-8). Some Christian writers of the second century A.D. used the term sealed as a reference to baptism. Our writer may have this in mind, but it is not certain, and it would be a presumption to translate it so. We may render this clause as “See at the Lord’s banquet how many people there are who have been claimed by the Lord as his own” or “… whom the Lord has claimed as his own.”
