Good News Bible inserts another paragraph break here, which we recommend.

King Demetrius to Lasthenes his father, greeting: Here father is a title of respect shown by the king to an adviser who was probably older than he was. Good News Bible translates his father as “the Honorable,” which is also its rendering for “his kinsman” in the previous verse. This rendering is acceptable in both verses.
