3:17a I said in my heart, “God will judge the righteous and the wicked,
I said to myself, “The time comes when God will judge people whether they do good or bad.
-or-
And so I thought to myself that God will ⌊eventually⌋ make everything right by ⌊rewarding⌋ godly people and ⌊punishing⌋ evil people.
3:17b since there is a time for every activity and every deed.”
This is so because every activity and every action happens at a set time.
-or-
God has appointed a time for every matter. Therefore we can be certain that he will evaluate everything that is done.
3:17a-b (combined)
So I said to myself, “God has planned a time for everything, and he has planned a time to judge everything people do. He will judge good people and bad people.” (English Easy-to-Read Version)
-or-
So I told myself that God has set a time and a place for everything. He will judge everyone, both the wicked and the good.
