For: The Greek conjunction that the BS translates as For introduces an explanation for why all the people were praising God for the miracle.

In some languages it would be better to omit this conjunction for the correct meaning here.

the man who was miraculously healed: This phrase in Greek is literally “the man upon whom this sign of healing had happened.” Here the words “sign of healing” refer to the miracle of healing the lame man. Here are some other ways to translate this phrase:

The man upon whom this miraculous sign of healing had been done
-or-
The man upon whom ⌊God⌋ had done this miraculous sign of healing
-or-
The man who was healed by this miracle (God’s Word)

See how you translated “sign” (which the Berean Standard Bible translates as “miracle”) in 4:16b.

General Comment on 4:21a–22

4:22 tells why the people were praising God (4:21c). 4:21c tells why the Jewish leaders only threatened them (4:21a) and did not punish them (4:21b). This puts the reason after the result. In some languages reason must be first. For example:

21–22the man who was miraculously healed was over forty years old, so all the people were glorifying God for what had happened. Therefore the leaders could not find a way to punish the apostles and after further threats they let them go.

Note the combined verse numbering: 21–22.
