15:45a So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being;”

So it says in the Scriptures, “The first man Adam became a person who lived in this world.”

God says in the Scriptures, “Adam, the first man, had a body for living in this world.”

15:45b the last Adam a life-giving spirit.

The last Adam, ⌊Jesus Christ,⌋ became a person who lives above this world, and gives life to us.

⌊Jesus Christ, who is called⌋ the last Adam, has a body for living in heaven, and he brings people back to life.
