On which the Lord of all most gloriously revealed his mercy: On which refers to the three days mentioned at the end of the previous verse. On each of these three successive days the king ordered the Jews to be slaughtered, but God rescued them each time (3 Macc 5.1-22; 5.23-44; 5.45–6.21). It will be helpful to begin a new sentence here, saying “But on each of the three days….” The Lord of all most gloriously revealed his mercy may be expressed as “the Lord of all [or, of all the world] had shown how merciful he was in a wonderful way.”
And rescued them all together and unharmed may be translated “and rescued every one of them, not one of them was harmed.”
