You have not yet escaped the judgment of the almighty, all-seeing God: You have not yet escaped the judgment does not imply that the king will escape judgment. It only says that he has not been judged yet, but he will be eventually. The Greek word for all-seeing means “one who watches over,” so it may be rendered “is watching you [or, us].” We suggest the following alternative model for this verse:
• The Almighty God is watching you [or, us]. He has not yet judged you, but he will.
