Translation commentary on Psalm 146:10

The psalm closes with an affirmation of Yahweh’s eternal rule (see 145.13a-b). Here Zion stands for the whole land of Israel (see 2.6). In some cases it may be necessary to recast verse 10 to make clear what the address form O Zion is; for example, it may be rendered “People of the country of Israel, your God will reign forever.”

The psalm ends as it begins: Praise the LORD!
