Here the summary formula for the reign of a king is in the form of a question. But as in previous instances, this will probably be better translated as a statement in most languages (see the comments on 1 Kgs 11.41). Care should be taken to avoid giving the impression that this verse is talking about the biblical books called 1-2 Chronicles (see the comments on 1 Kgs 14.19, 29).
And all that he did: This is what the Septuagint says, but the Hebrew text has “which he did.” It is not clear whether Revised Standard Version is following the Septuagint here or translating according to the sense of the Hebrew.
