He walked in all the way of Jeroboam: Translators will recall that the verb walked is used figuratively to speak of the way in which Omri behaved or conducted his life. See 1 Kgs 3.3, 6; 15.3, 26.

The judgment against Omri is the same as that against Zimri in verse 19, but as noted in the comments on verse 25, the writer adds that Omri did all of the evil things that Jeroboam did. Good News Translation and many other modern versions do not adequately translate the word all. However, compare New Jerusalem Bible, which says “In every way he copied the example of Jeroboam.”
