This verse is a single sentence in Revised Standard Version but should probably be broken down into at least two sentences in the receptor language. It may also be necessary to reorder the elements of this verse in certain languages. Some restructuring has been done by Good News Translation, and this may serve as a model. The basic information of this verse has already been given in the preceding passage. The only really new element is the mention of the permanent nature of these rules, which is brought out by the words as a due forever (see 6.11).

That is waved … wave for a wave offering: see 7.30.
Offerings by fire: see 1.9.
And your sons: the context seems to indicate that the word translated sons here is to be taken in its more general sense, meaning “children.”
