Took them: the pronoun refers to the fatty parts, the right hind thigh, and the different breads he had placed in their hands in the previous verse. In some languages it will be more natural to say “he took them back.”

With: as in 3.5, it is probably more accurate to understand this as meaning with (Revised Standard Version, New Jerusalem Bible, New Jerusalem Bible). However, other versions render the preposition “on top of” (Good News Translation, New English Bible, New International Version, Moffatt).

The burnt offering: see verses 18-21.

As an ordination offering: these words are taken in many translations as the beginning of a new sentence which constitutes a summary statement of what has already been described. New Jerusalem Bible has “This was an ordination offering for a pleasing odor…” (see also New English Bible, New Jerusalem Bible).
