what we do not yet see: Here the words do not yet see indicates that the hope is not yet fulfilled. Translate the word see as you did in 8:24b and c (“is seen” and “see”).

patiently: This Greek word means “the capacity to continue to believe or do as planned in the midst of opposition or difficulty.” Here are other ways to translate this word:
