The Greek that is translated as “Beloved” or similar in English is translated in Ngbaka as “Son of his heart” (in the 1995 interconfessional version). (Source: Bruce Moore in: Notes on Translation 1/1992, p. 1ff.)

This passive construct is translated in Mokole as “his son, the one whose love is all in himself.” Mokole grammar doesn’t know a passive voice and the translation has to therefore render anything that is passive in the Hebrew or Greek text with a grammatical subject.
