Translation commentary on Ezekiel 40:37

Its vestibule faced the outer court: See verse 31. Instead of vestibule, the Hebrew text has “jambs” (so King James Version / New King James Version, New American Standard Bible, New Jewish Publication Society’s Tanakh, Hebrew Old Testament Text Project). We recommend following the Septuagint and the Vulgate here, which have “vestibule/porch” (compare verses 31 and 34 ).

And it had palm trees on its jambs, one on either side: See verses 16 and 26.

And its stairway had eight steps: See verse 31.
